DEI’S FORTE FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION RAISES $448,600 TO SUPPORT DISADVANTAGED YOUTH IN NORTH COUNTY SAN DIEGO

The Charitable Foundation Has Raised More than $7 Million Since Its Inception

VISTA, Calif. (Sept. 18, 2018)DEI’s Forte for Children Foundation, dedicated to improving the quality of life for disadvantaged children, raised and distributed $448,600 in immediate grants to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos, and Vista; The Moonlight Cultural Foundation; Sound Start; and Casa de Amparo. The Ninth-Annual “Wake Me Up” Charity Gala was held on September 8, 2018 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront in San Diego with special guest Aloe Blacc. Funds distributed will be used to support a variety of programs within each organization, focusing a portion of the grants on music education and therapy.

Since its inception in 2001, Forte for Children has raised over $7 million in support of local youth. “Thanks to global partners and local supporters, we’re exiting our ninth annual gala with a new influx of funds that we’re certain are going to positively impact the lives of so many children here in North County San Diego,” said Jim Minarik, chairman and founder of Forte for Children and president of DEI’s board of directors. “I’m so incredibly grateful for the compassion and support from our generous donors. Music has proven to be an invaluable tool to positively influence our youth, and we’re honored to help ensure it continues to play that role.”

With music as its core component, The Forte for Children “Wake Me Up” Charity Gala featured performances by famed fusion artist, Aloe Blacc and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside and Vista. Distinguished guests among the more than 350 who attended include Congressman Darrell Issa and his wife, Kathy.

Total funds raised since inception exceed $5 Million.

VISTA, CA- DEI’s Forte for Children Foundation distributed $550,000 of Charitable Gala proceeds in immediate grants to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos, and Vista; The Moonlight Cultural Foundation; Solutions for Change; and Casa de Amparo.  The Eighth-Annual Charity Gala was held on August 26th, 2017 at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad, Ca. Funds distributed will be used to support a variety of programs within each organization, focusing a portion of the grants on music education and therapy. Forte for Children’s mission is to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged children.

Since its inception in 2001, Forte for Children has raised over $5 million in support of local youth. The $550,000 distributed in 2017 is $230,000 more than last year’s total charitable Gala distributions of $320,000. “I am continually humbled by the tremendous support we receive year over year from our global partners and local supporters,” said Jim Minarik, chairman and founder of Forte for Children and president of DEI’s board of directors.  “We look forward to seeing the funds raised this year impact the lives of many children in our community over the coming year.”

DEI’S FORTE FOR CHILDREN TO HOLD ANNUAL CHARITABLE FOUNDATION GALA SATURDAY AUGUST 26th

Eighth annual charitable Gala seeks to raise funds for San Diego’s north county community organizations supporting disadvantaged youth

VISTA, CA- DEI’s Forte for Children Foundation is holding their eighth annual Charity Gala Saturday, August 26th from 6:00PM to 11:00PM. The event takes place at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort & Spa at 7100 Aviara Resort Drive in Carlsbad, CA. Tickets for the gala cost $250 per person, or a table of 10 can be purchased for $2,000. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses that range from $5,000-$30,000. Proceeds from the Charitable Foundation Gala are awarded in immediate grants to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos and Vista; The Moonlight Cultural Foundation; Solutions for Change; and Casa de Amparo. The gala funds are used to support programs focused on helping disadvantaged youth through music and education therapy. Since its inception in 2001, Forte for Children has raised $5 million to support local youth. Last year Forte for Children distributed $320,000 to its key beneficiaries through their annual gala.

The Charitable Foundation Gala is a black-tie event that begins with a silent auction/reception, drinks, and hors d’oeuvres. Guests then enter the Ball Room for a three-course dinner, performances from the Boys & Girls Clubs and The Bonnie Foster Experience, a live auction, and dancing.
